A different kind of sightseeing – the Caroma roastery and the Coffeeseum, in the Dolomites, are open for individual and group tours.
See what is probably the world’s largest collection of coffee grinders and “meet” real-life coffee plants in our indoor garden. Discover the faceted world of coffee from up close… or book a guided tour of the roastery with coffee tasting to experience first-hand the difference between good coffee and mediocre blends.
If you visit the coffee shop, seize the opportunity to take a peek into our roastery, too. The gallery on the second floor offers you a great view of the facilities. And as you observe our roasting master working at the cutting-edge, shiny chrome machines, let the scent of coffee tickle your nose and entice your senses!

Hay bath - the orginal since 1901
Hay bathing is a centuries-old tradition in the Dolomites, and Völs in particular has become widely known for it. The two Englishmen Gilbert and Churchill already mentioned the Schlern hay baths in their world-famous travelogue "The Dolomite Mountains" from 1864. Tyrol has always been rich in bathing establishments, with the hay bath occupying a special position. In contrast to the well-known healing springs, the raw material is not the water, but the mountain hay from the surrounding Dolomites.
The wealth lies in the diversity of the Alpine flora, which is found in the Dolomites on unfertilized, extensively farmed plateaus, so-called rough pastures. Until 1960, the hay for the Völs hay baths was mowed on the Schlern plateau (2500 m) and subsequently on Seiser Alm. Especially the mountain meadows around the Murmeltierhütte (marmot lodge, 2132 m) guarantee high quality mountain meadow hay. It is harvested once a year depending on weather conditions between mid-July and mid-August.
